AI fix: the AI fix feature is off

HTTP status409 Conflict

What it means

Returned by POST /orgs/{org}/code-security/sast/findings/{id}/autofix (AI fixes for SAST findings). No fix was requested and no AI model was called.

The organisation has its own AI provider, but the autofix feature has never been switched on under AI integrations. Adding a provider switches no AI feature on by itself. The same refusal is answered with the type ai-fix-feature-off from POST /orgs/{org}/code-security/sast/findings/{id}/ai-fix. Branch on either type.

Example detail message returned with this error:

  • The AI fix feature is switched off under AI integrations. An owner can switch it on there; it uses only the organisation’s own model provider.

The response also carries "reason": "feature_off".

What to do

Under AI integrations, tick Enabled for the autofix feature and save, or call PUT /_app/api/v1/orgs/{org}/ai/feature-defaults/autofix with {"enabled": true}.
