What it means

The action exists, but in this version it can only be started from the admin console by an organisation owner, not with an API token.

Example detail messages returned with this error:

  • Starting a prune is console-only in v1: an org owner starts it from the repository’s Housekeeping page in the admin console.

What to do

Do it in the admin console: for a prune, open Repositories, then the repository’s Housekeeping page, and confirm with the repository name. Reading the result (preview, job status, confirmations) works with an API token that has orgs:read.
