What it means

A group_team_map entry names a Forgejo org other than your own. An SSO source can only add your identity provider’s users to teams in the org that owns the source.

Returned by POST and PUT /orgs/{slug}/sso.

Example detail messages returned with this error:

group_team_map may only map to teams in your own org “acme”. Org key “other-org” under group “admins” is not allowed.

What to do

Use your own org’s name as the org key in every entry: { "<idp-group>": { "<your-org>": ["<team>"] } }. The comparison ignores case and surrounding whitespace, and the stored map uses your org’s canonical name. To give users access to another org, configure SSO in that org.
