Idempotency key reused

HTTP status409 Conflict

What it means

The Idempotency-Key you sent was already used for a request with a different body. A key identifies one logical request: a retry with the same key and the same body replays the first response, and the same key with a different body is refused rather than silently answered with the earlier result.

Example detail messages returned with this error:

  • This Idempotency-Key was already used with a different body. Use a new key for a different request.

What to do

Send a new key for a new request. Reuse a key only to retry the exact same request after a network failure.
