What it means

The request was malformed, or a field failed validation.

Example detail messages returned with this error:

• Request body must be valid JSON.
• Request body must be valid JSON.
• sbom blob must be valid UTF-8 JSON.

What to do

Send a syntactically valid JSON body and set Content-Type: application/json.
