What it means

The request was malformed, or a field failed validation.

Example detail messages returned with this error:

• Provide repo (owner/name under this org), issue_number, and major.
• allow must be a boolean.
• only_protected_branches must be a boolean.

What to do

Correct the request value - detail names what was wrong.
