Runner pull-through is for internal organisations only

typehttps://docs.frem.sh/reference/api/errors/runner-pull-through-internal-only
HTTP status403 Forbidden

What it means

The request set runner_pull_through: true or runner_fallback_drill_minutes on PUT /orgs/{org}/dependency-proxy, and the organisation is not one of fremforge’s internal organisations. Runner pull-through makes jobs on fremforge-hosted runners install npm and PyPI packages through the organisation’s dependency proxy. It is open to internal organisations only until the dependency proxy has met its uptime target, whoever asks, and nothing in the request was saved.

Example detail messages returned with this error:

  • Runner pull-through (runner_pull_through) is available on internal organisations only until the dependency proxy has met its uptime bar.
  • The runner fallback drill (runner_fallback_drill_minutes) is available on internal organisations only.

What to do

Remove runner_pull_through (or set it to false) and runner_fallback_drill_minutes from the request body. The other dependency proxy settings (enabled, block_until_scanned, retention_days) can be saved as usual.

Response shape

All fremforge API errors are RFC 9457 problem+json:

{
  "type": "https://docs.frem.sh/reference/api/errors/runner-pull-through-internal-only",
  "title": "Forbidden",
  "status": 403,
  "detail": "..."
}

Branch on type, not on title or detail - those are human-readable and may be reworded.
