HTTP status409 Conflict

What it means

Another send of the same legal change notice is running. Operator API only (POST /operator/legal-notices/{id}/send).

Example detail messages returned with this error:

  • Another send of this notice is running. Wait for it, then re-send to fill any gaps.

What to do

Wait for the running send to finish (GET /operator/legal-notices/{id}/deliveries shows its progress), then check the counts. If any delivery failed, run a new dry run and send again: only the gaps are mailed.

A send that died without finishing releases its claim after 15 minutes.
